Public Will Get Town Center Development Input

Troy is currently soliciting feedback about the massive project from developers in a RFQ process.

TROY — Residents will get at least two chances to provide input about the controversial Troy Civic Center development before any plans move forward, according to a C & G Newspapers report. While the city is currently in the middle of a Request For Qualifications process, the two public sessions will be held in January.

“I think we’re on the right track of flushing out the viability of a capable developer/investor group,” said Matt Farrell, of Core Partners, a real estate consulting company. “I feel the RFQ is the right move.”
“I don’t think we’re here tonight to jump right back in,” said City Councilman Ethan Baker. “If we do anything, there has to be more public engagement.”
