Expect Extreme Heat Over Labor Day Weekend: MN Weather

MINNEAPOLIS — Summer is going out with a bang in Minnesota. Labor Day weekend is set to feature extreme heat, with temperatures rising near 100 degrees Saturday through Monday.

"Pleasant temperatures expected the next two days, though southerly winds will be breezy during Thursday," the National Weather Service said.

"We warm up by the end of the week with highs expected in the 90s the entire Labor Day weekend. Sunday and Monday currently look like the hottest days with some areas possibly nearing 100."
