Grow With Us: Writers Rising Up to  Defend Place, Natural Habitat, Wetlands 

Minnesota Landscape Arboretum

Staff and volunteers will facilitate a 5-15 minute activity at the Discovery Booth to explore a specific topic, including plant-related exercises like testing soil, planting a seed or nature journaling. Although geared toward children and families, all are welcome to participate. Each theme will feature two different activities within the month. Discovery Booths are included with <a href="https://arb.umn.edu/Tickets-1" target="_blank" data-saferedirecturl="https://www.google.com/url?q=https://arb.umn.edu/Tickets-1&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1725993406345000&amp;usg=AOvVaw3GHAJ2nLz7W5QWhR130eLS" rel="nofollow">general daily admission</a>, which is free for members and ages 15 and younger and $20-$25 for non-members ages 16 and older. Tickets must be reserved in advance of your visit to guarantee admission.

Head to the Anderson Horticultural Library every Thursday and the last Friday of each month for StoryTime. We'll celebrate plants and nature and foster a love for books and reading as we explore the library's vast catalog of children's books. StoryTime is included with daily ticketed admission and is recommended for ages 0-5 with a parent, but all are welcome.

With over 1,200 acres of breathing room, including peaceful indoor spaces, the Arboretum serves as a refuge to rejuvenate the mind, body, and spirit in one of the greenest spaces in Minnesota. Our Yoga in the Gardens series features year-round wellness classes led by local instructors. Classes are held on Thursdays and Sundays. Advanced registration is required for all classes, and capacity is limited, see the website for ticketing. Please note, we advise that you arrive 15+ minutes prior to class time in order to park and walk to the location on time for your class. Participants are encouraged to bring a yoga mat and wear comfortable clothes. All experience levels, ages, shapes, and genders are invited and honored. Shelley Pagitt will lead this class in the Oak &amp; Nut Collection Trees.

Arboretum AppleHouse, 7485 Rolling Acres Rd, Victoria, MN, 55386

Pick up the flavors of fall at the Arboretum's AppleHouse. This seasonal shop features a rotating variety of freshly-picked, in-season apples. Call 612-301-3487 for a list of available apples. In addition to apples, shoppers will find apple cider, frozen apple pies, gourmet food items and seasonal decor. Watch for Arboretum-grown pumpkins, squash and gourds arriving in October. Starting in November, the AppleHouse transforms to a holiday boutique, stocked with a variety of holiday gifts, as well as treats for your holiday meals.Visitors don’t need a reservation or a membership to visit the Applehouse Holiday Boutique, and all proceeds from the store support Arboretum research and general operations.

Be surrounded by prime fall colors while running or hiking the beautiful Arboretum trails! The 5th annual Fall Color Trail Run/Hike is staggered over three days (Oct. 11-13) to prevent overcrowding of the trails and to maximize the experience for all participants. Pick your course (1K, 5K or 10K), date and pace and experience the wonder of autumn from trails lined with stunning fall foliage. Tickets include Arboretum gate admission for the day of your race, a long-sleeve T-shirt and coupon for the Gift &amp; Garden Store. Register online (required) by Sept. 13 for a T-shirt in your preferred size.
