Eden Prairie Police Arrest Vikings Cornerback Monday

Anthony Ray "A.J." Jefferson is in jail on suspicion of domestic assault.

Eden Prairie police arrested Vikings cornerback Anthony Ray “A.J.” Jefferson on suspicion of domestic assault Monday morning, the city announced.

Police arrested Jefferson at his Eden Prairie home after a 23-year-old woman reported at about 4:30 a.m. that she was the victim of domestic assault.

The Hennepin County jail lists the 25-year-old Jefferson as still in custody.

The Vikings released Jefferson after his arrest, the team announced.

Jefferson is the second Vikings player arrested this month. Minnesota State Patrol arrested wide receiver Jerome Simpson on suspicion of drunken driving Nov. 9.
