Backpack Loaded with Electronics Stolen at Galleria Starbucks

Edina Police also responded to the 6300 block of Virginia Avenue on a report of threatening messages on Facebook.

Tuesday, May 28

  • Police responded to the 4700 block of Aspasia Circle on a report of phone lines cut and a screen removed from a window. The unknown suspect was not located by officers, who believe the actions were performed over an extended period of time.
  • Police responded to the 5800 block of Eastview Drive on a report of property damage. A rock was thrown through a window by an unknown person, resulting in $400 in damage.
  • Police responded to the 4100 block of 76th Street on a report of theft. A wallet, phone and jacket valued at $317 in total were stolen from an unlocked locker by an unknown suspect.
  • Police responded to the 6100 block of France Avenue on a report of property damage. A window was broken by an unknown suspect, in an attempt to enter the residence. Damage was estimated at $500.

Wednesday, May 29

  • Police responded to the 4000 block of Mavelle Drive on a report of theft from auto. A computer monitor valued at $20 was taken from a locked vehicle by an unknown suspect.
  • Police responded to the 7300 block of York Avenue South on a report of theft from auto. Loose change valued at $20 was taken from an unlocked vehicle by an unknown suspect.
  • Police responded to the 7200 block of York Avenue South on a report of theft from auto. A flashlight valued at $15 was taken from an unlocked vehicle by an unknown suspect.
  • Police responded to the 6300 block of Virginia Avenue on a report of a resident receiving threatening messages on Facebook.

  • Police responded to the 5400 block of 70th Street for a civil standby.
  • Police responded to the 6100 block of Lincoln Drive on a report of theft. Jewelry valued at $12,600 in total was reported taken from an apartment by an unknown suspect sometime in the last month.
  • Police responded to Starbucks Coffee at the Galleria on a report of theft. A backpack, phone, laptop and iPad were taken from a table by an unknown suspect. Total loss is estimated at $3,285. The items were left unattended at the time, police report.
