Anoka County Deputies Rescue Dog That Fell Through Ice

Deputies sprang into action after it was reported that an older dog had wandered onto a pond and fallen through the ice.

Law enforcement from Minnesota's Anoka County helped save a dog that fell through ice. On Wednesday, March 1, the Anoka County Sheriff's Office received a report of an older dog that had wandered onto a pond and fallen through the ice at a water depth of approximately six feet.

The dog was struggling and could not free itself, according to authorities.

One deputy quickly donned a Mustang cold water suit and headed onto the pond while another assisted with a rope.
