Hops for Hunger 4.0

Local microbrewers partner with local food shelf to raise funds and awareness.

SACA Food Shelf will be having their 4th annual fundraiser featuring local craft beers held at the historic Solar Arts Building by Chowgirls in Northeast Minneapolis on Saturday March 26th from 5:00-8:00pm.

Hops for Hunger has become an anticipated community event, bringing together established and emerging microbrewers, generous local businesses and beer lovers who support the SACA food shelf! In the last three years, this flagship event has raised $47,790 which has allowed SACA to buy 350,320 pounds of food. This year’s event hopes to raise another $25,000 to purchase 200,000 pounds of food.

Financial One Credit Union continues to be the premiere sponsor of this event since its inception. In addition to Financial One, all participating microbrewers donate their time and product to SACA as well as numerous businesses who donate to the silent auction.
