Also inside the vehicle were seven children who police say initially seemed unresponsive, but were "awoken" by officers. Officers observed some of the children had packaging tape over their mouths.

The officers had the children checked by paramedics at the scene. The adults and juveniles were separated and interviewed regarding the incident. After a preliminary investigation, officers determined that there was "no immediate threat" to the children's safety, and they were released to their family.
