City Of Lakeville Announces Closure Of Facilities

The closure includes Lakeville City Hall, Lakeville Area Arts Center, Heritage Center, Hasse and Ames Arenas, Central Maintenance Facility.

Following guidance from state health officials, effective Tuesday, March 17, to Tuesday, March 31, the City of Lakeville will be closing public access to all facilities to limit the potential for community transmission of COVID-19.

The closure includes Lakeville City Hall, Lakeville Area Arts Center, Heritage Center, Hasse and Ames Arenas, Central Maintenance Facility and the Water Treatment Facility. The lobby of the Lakeville Police Department will be closed as well.

Many services the City provides can be accessed through this website.

The City asks for the public’s patience and understanding of this action. Essential City services will continue without interruption. City employees will be available by telephone and email during the facility closure. Some departments will be working split-shifts, meaning you may see City employees working during non-customary hours. We will continue to update our home page with all critical contact information.

This decision to close City facilities and implement enhanced safety measure was made in collaboration with our public health partners and with the well-being of community members and City staff in mind.

This community mitigation effort is designed to protect the health of City staff and safeguard its ability to deliver services, including emergency access to police, fire and emergency medical service (EMS) response.
