Dakota County Student Graduates from Falcon View Connections Academy

Statewide public online school honors high school graduates during commencement ceremony

(St. Paul, MN) Addison Sohre of Lakeville was among the more than forty Falcon View Connections Academy students to recently receive their high school diplomas as members of the statewide public virtual school’s Class of 2024.

The graduates received their diplomas during a traditional, in-person commencement ceremony in Lake Elmo on June 2nd, which included speakers, members of the faculty and proud families and friends.

“Our students came to our school in search of a learning environment that met their individual needs, and we are so proud of our Class of 2024 graduates and admire their determination to reach this important milestone,” said Falcon View Connections Academy principal Anne Wasmund. “Even though we are a full-time online school, it’s wonderful to be able to host an in-person commencement and give these students the recognition they deserve.”

During the ceremony Falcon View Connections Academy faculty member Abigail Tarutis addressed the graduates and used the opportunity share two “essential” truths with the Class of 2024.

“The power of your mind shapes the power of your life, and your existence makes the world better,” she said. “Hold these truths close to your heart as you are the architects of your destiny. I can't wait to see how you soar."
