Simon Premium Outlets' Annual Deal Hunters Weekend

Each November, when deer hunters head to the woods, savvy shoppers make tracks for Simon’s two Minneapolis-area Premium Outlets centers, Albertville Premium Outlets and Twin Cities Premium Outlets, for some serious bargain bagging. Deal Hunters Weekend, slated for Saturday, Nov. 3, and Sunday, Nov. 4, is a weekend-long shopping extravaganza coinciding with the start of the hunting season.

The annual tradition attracts bargain hunters from across the state and beyond, ready to snag some of the best deals of the year, before the onset of the busy holiday shopping season. Groups of loyalists come clad in camo and antler headgear, set to enjoy live music, great giveaways, food truck fare, and more, in what has become as much a social outing as a shopping imperative.

From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day, shoppers can visit the center’s registration tent to pick up a free Bargain Hunting Guide featuring special savings from participating stores, including Columbia, Tommy Hilfiger, Nike, Under Armour, kate spade new york, Old Navy Outlet, Starbucks, and The North Face at Albertville Premium Outlets, and Under Armour, Nike, Tommy Hilfiger, Polo Ralph Lauren Factory Store, Michael Kors, kate spade new york, Old Navy Outlet, and Starbucks at Twin Cities Premium Outlets.

Both centers will also host DJ entertainment, food trucks, and gift card and product giveaways in the registration tent, as well as offer complimentary prize bags to the first 150 shoppers each day. Shoppers dressed in camo may additionally receive special surprise giveaways as they hunt for deals.

“Serious bargain hunters know that shopping is a sport,” said Sarah Dorrian Smith, Director of Marketing for the Minneapolis-area Premium Outlets, noting that Deal Hunters Weekend has become one of the most popular events of the year since its introduction to the market seven years ago. “Our goal is to make sure no one is left out of the hunt each November, whether they’re off to bag deer or designer deals.”
