Propane Driver Rescued After Truck Rolls into Lakeville Pond

On Tuesday, crews responded to a propane truck on its side in Lakeville leaking propane fuel with the driver trapped inside the cab.

On Tuesday morning at about 11:35 a.m., Lakeville fire crews and the Dakota County Special Operations Team were dispatched to a propane truck that rolled over into a holding pond on Kenrick Avenue, just south of County Road 70. Crews arrived on scene to find a propane truck on its side leaking propane fuel.

The truck driver was trapped inside the cab, which was not under water.

The driver was extricated with minor injuries and the leak was contained. Crews are still on scene working to get the vehicle removed from the pond safely, according to a news release.
