MAPLE GROVE, MN — The Maple Grove High School baseball team will continue its hunt for a state title Wednesday afternoon after downing St. Louis Park in the Class 4A state quarterfinals.

Maple Grove scored three unearned runs against St. Louis Park, while starting pitcher Aiden McMahon allowed just four hits and struck out six batters, the MSHSL said. Aiden Hansen pitched in relief, and Zan Vitense earned the save for the Crimson, who are now 20-4 for the season, according to the game report.
Maple Grove will be Class 4A state champions with two more wins.

The Crimson will face Farmington High School in the Class 4A semifinal game after Farmington beat Park High School 3-2 on Tuesday.
The winner of Maple Grove-Farmington will play Stillwater or Chanhassen in the state final, scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday at Target Field.
