MINNEAPOLIS — Minnesota Timberwolves All-Star Karl-Anthony Towns has been diagnosed with a torn meniscus in his left knee and "is out indefinitely," according to multiple reports.

The Athletic's Shams Charania broke the news on X first.

In general, if treated without surgery, a player could return to play in about four weeks, according to NBA medical officials. If surgery, the return to full sporting activity is usually longer.
