MINNEAPOLIS — Starting at 7 a.m. Tuesday, Minnesotans can head to the polls and cast a ballot in Minnesota's presidential primary. Minnesota's primary takes place on "Super Tuesday," when it and 14 other states hold elections for the Democratic and Republican Party presidential candidates.

Unlike other elections in Minnesota, voters in the presidential primary need to choose which of the major parties’ ballots they want. The party they choose is not public information, but it will be available to the chosen major party.

Minnesota also has same-day registration, which means you can register to vote at your polling location on Election Day. Polls open at 7 a.m. and close at 8 p.m. on Election Day.
