  1. Earlier this week, a Mason City teen received her sentencing for sending violent threats to the Mason City School District. Destiny Anne Kaduce plead guilty to terroristic threats as well as possession of marijuana, Kaduce sent an email in November 2022 threatening to carry out a shooting at the school, and she was interviewed the next day where officers also found her in possession of marijuana. Kaduce received three years of supervised probation for the threat and seven days of jail time for the marijuana. She will also be required to complete recommended substance abuse and mental health treatments in order to remove this conviction from her record. (KIMT 3)
  2. Downtown Rochester is looking to add to its already growing restaurant scene with Ruth's Chris Steak House expanding into the city. Ruth's Chris is a well-known restaurant with over 150 locations that specialize in steaks. Construction for the new restaurant is expected to begin later this summer in hopes of an early 2024 opening. The restaurant will have full outdoor seating, a full bar, and a private dining area for private parties. (106.9 KROC)
  3. Earlier this week, Olmsted County Sheriff's Office sadly said goodbye to its K9 Ranger, who passed away from illness at four years old. Ranger and his handler Corporal Heime were practicing for an upcoming seminar when Heime noticed Ranger was acting unusual, he took the K9 to an emergency veterinarian where Ranger died. Ranger served with the sheriff's office since 2020 on several patrols and narcotics calls and he will greatly be missed by his handlers and the department. (KROC-AM)
