A Fond Farewell from Your Patch Editor

Dear Roseville Patch Readers,

I have a bit of sad news to share: As of the end of Tuesday, Oct. 15 I am getting laid off from Patch due to a company reorganization.

The good news is that Roseville Patch is going to continue for the foreseeable future. The site will remain open for people to post their events, announcements, blogs and other information.  Roseville Patch will remain open as Patch explores options for continuing to serve the community.

I hope that you will continue to make use of Roseville Patch as it is your community resource. It's a way for you to stay connected with your friends and neighbors whether that's about the latest city development project, local community fundraiser, crime alert or city celebration.

When I started with Patch in April, 2011, I never imagined the interesting journey that would unfold for me. Fire calls, City Council meetings, ribbon cuttings for new businesses, high school robotics demonstations and election returns are among our plethora of stories to post on Patch. You name it, we have tried to cover it all.

It's been a pleasure and a lot of fun serving you and the Roseville community during the past two and half years. (Since July, I have also assumed the duties of Fridley Patch local editor, an additional assignment I have found challenging and rewarding.)

Along the way, I have met lots of nice people who are intelligent, interesting, kind hearted and civic minded. All of you have enriched my life and I thank you for sharing your stories with me and other Patch staffers.

We have worked very hard for Roseville Patch, always endeavoring to be professional in our reporting while also fostering a safe climate for everyone to share their opinions in our comments stream.

In the end, we hope you have found Roseville Patch informative, worthwhile and enjoyable. Now as I pursue a new job, our paths may yet cross again.

Wishing you all the best for the future,

Sincerely,

Scott Carlson
