It's The End of the Road for These I-694 Weekend Closures in New Brighton/ Arden Hills Area

Weather permitting, this should be the final weekend of lane closures on westbound Interstate 694 near Roseville, according to officials with the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT). 

The I-694 westbound lanes will be completely shutdown starting 10 p.m. today (Friday)  between I-35W and Long Lake Road in Arden Hills and New Brighton.  Weather permitting those lanes will be closed until  5 a.m. Monday (Oct. 14). 

In a news release, here's what MnDOT is saying about this work:

"During the weekend closure, crews will complete concrete pavement repair in the interchange and place a protective sealant on the deck of the westbound I-694 bridge over I-35W.

While the interstate is closed, the ramps from northbound and southbound I-35W to westbound I-694 also will close.

During the closure, motorists will detour on I-35W, west on Highway 10 and Highway 610 and back south on Highway 252 to reach the westbound interstate.".

All construction work on I-694 between Highway 100 in Brooklyn Center and Interstate 35W in Arden Hills. Work is expected to be completed by mid-November, MnDOT officials predict.
