Minneapolis Steakhouse Makes List Of Best Wine Restaurants

Manny's Steakhouse in Minneapolis made a list of 100 Best Restaurants For Wine Lovers In America released this week.

The restaurant at 825 Marquette Ave. commands "a fanatical local following and a national reputation," according to OpenTable, which compiled the list. Here is how OpenTable described Manny's:

"Masculine, bright, accented with wood and leather, Manny's evokes the great steakhouses of New York and Chicago - and eclipses them in critical and popular acclaim.

"Wrote the New York Times: "There's good news in Minneapolis for those who still share the secret pleasures of red meat, well-cut & seriously served." In addition to USDA-certified, dry- aged, center-cut beef, Manny's offers chops, chicken, fresh seafood and a Wine Spectator Award-winning wine list."

Manny's was rated Top Five in the U.S. by the Zagat Guide and named one of America's top Steakhouses by the Knife & Fork Club, Men's Journal and the Independent Cattleman's Association.

New York City had the most restaurants on the list with 11. That was not only more than any other city, but more than any other state. California was next in line with 10.

The list was compiled from more than 12 million reviews of 28,000 restaurants by OpenTable users between August 1, 2017, and July 31, 2018,, the online reservation website's representatives said.

"Whether you're a wine aficionado or a novice looking to expand your palate, this year's list showcases a variety of restaurants that carefully curate the finest wine selections to complement their menus," said Caroline Potter, Chief Dining Officer at OpenTable.
