African Dinner Supper Club

On Friday, September 15th at 6pm, Clinton County Just Faith invites you to a Welcome Neighbor STL Supper Club to support immigrant and refugee families in St. Louis. Enjoy food, conversation, and catching up with friends – old and new. From cultural exchange to just plain fun, look forward to a great evening. Location: 280 N. Main St. Breese, IL 62230.

These meals present an opportunity for immigrant and refugee families to share knowledge and skills unique to them. It is also an opportunity for us to get a glimpse into their culture. These fundraising efforts can set them on a path of greater independence and confidence in their lives here in the USA.

The African menu is $35 and contains:

SALAD:
Green leaf, tomatoes, cucumber, Carrots, Eggs. With dressing (Ranch, Italian)

RIZ GRAS (WHITE) (BURKINA FASO – WEST AFRICA):
Rice, beef meat, Onions, Tomatoes, Green pepper, White pepper, black pepper, parsley, garlic, green onion, Olive oil, chicken bouillon.

POTATOES GRATIN:
Potatoes, cheese, sour cream, butter, bacon.

FISH FILET:
Fish, nutmeg, salt, onions, peppers (green, yellow, red), garlic, oil, black and white pepper, zucchini.

ALLOCCO (PLANTAIN) (WEST AFRICA MOSTLY IVORY COAST):
Fried and steamed plantain with dipping sauce made with onions, tomatoes, garlic, pepper, oil.

BEIGNET (AFRICA):
All-purpose flower, sugar, eggs, yeast, oil, vanilla sugar, milk, salt.
