BOZEMAN, MT — Video posted on social media appears to show a "frustrated" U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz involved in a dispute with staff at Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport.

In a 23-second video posted on Reddit, a visibly perturbed and masked Cruz can be seen seemingly arguing with two airport staff members Sunday afternoon. The video then cuts to the senator disputing with a law enforcement officer.

Scott Humphrey, deputy airport director, told the Daily Mail the dispute stemmed from Cruz missing the check-in window for his flight. Because it was Spring Break, the airport could only offer "limited" options for him to re-book.

"One of our Public Safety Officers (PSO) was in the ticket lobby and was asked to assist with a frustrated passenger at the United ticket counter (which is not unusual). The passenger had missed the check-in window for his flight and re-booking options were limited out of Bozeman due to Spring Break," Humphrey told the news outlet.

"Once travel options were explained to the passenger, he was rebooked and departed Bozeman later that evening. Our PSO didn’t realize he was dealing with Senator Cruz until after the fact. If you need more information, please contact United Airlines."
