May Ends in a Blaze of Weather Glory

Forecasters: Warm temperatures and sunny skies are on their way to Amherst.

AMHERST, NH - If you have been waiting for the warm, end-of-spring, almost-summer weather, well, get ready, it’s coming to New Hampshire.

Forecasters are predicting, after a mild day today and tomorrow, as well as rain and possibly thunderstorms on Tuesday, the Granite State will bask in the glow of some really nice, hot weather.

Expect temperatures to be in the lower to middle 80s for most of the week, according to AccuWeather.com, as a warm surge stretches across the region. Temperatures will drop back down to normal toward the end of the week, with rain possible on Friday and Saturday, according to the early predictions.

Today: Mostly cloudy with a slight chance of rain possible in the late afternoon. Highs in the upper 60s and lows in the upper 40s during the evening.

Monday: Partly sunny skies with highs in the 70s and a light breeze. During the evening, a slight chance of showers late and into the early morning hours with lows in the 50s.

Tuesday: A chance of showers in the afternoon and then, a possibly thunderstorm by mid-afternoon, and then showers in the late afternoon, with clouds and temps in the upper 60s. During the evening, a slight chance of rain.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny skies with highs in the lower 80s during the day and some clouds at night with highs in the mid-50s.

Thursday: Mostly sunny skies with highs in the mid-80s and lows in the upper 50s during the evening.

Friday: A slight chance of showers during the day but mostly sunny with temps again in the 80s.

It might be a rainy weekend, however.
