CONCORD, NH — A woman from the Lakes Region with a previous drunk driving history is facing new charges after a crash on Hopkinton Road in late June.

On the same night Concord police found the dead body of Tyler Anderson, the Dover man who threatened to kill several Republican first-in-the-nation presidential candidates in 2023, inside a vehicle at the Concord Hospital parking garage, Madison T. Bowley, 26, of Merrimac Street in Laconia was arrested on a third driving under the influence charge.

Around 9:15 p.m. on June 26, police began receiving reports about the driver of a gray Ford SUV striking a parked vehicle and hitting a sign on North Main Street. The driver then fled the scene by taking a right-hand turn onto Warren Street, driving the wrong way on a one-way street. A witness said a woman was reportedly driving the SUV.

Dispatch told officers Bowley owned the Ford Escape and she had a suspended license. Officers searched the downtown area but were unable to find the SUV.

About 15 minutes later, a resident in the area of Currier Road reported a vehicle crash, with a woman driving, near their home. An officer asked if it was a Ford Escape, and the dispatcher said it appeared to be the exact vehicle and driver. Officers headed to the area and found the driver, Bowley, with her vehicle on the front lawn of a home on Hopkinton Road.

Another officer checked vehicles on Warren Street to see if any others were damaged. The officer said it appeared the SUV struck a curb and then the parked car, but no sign was damaged.

Around 10:45 p.m., Bowley was charged with driving under the influence-third offense, conduct after an accident, driving after revocation or suspension, and motor vehicle not equipped with an alcohol interlock device, as well as two unsafe lane change violations.

Bowley was released on personal recognizance on July 12. She pleaded not guilty to all the counts on July 29.

According to court documents, Bowley checked herself into rehab after being arraigned. She is slated to go to trial in Concord District Court on Nov. 26.

According to district court records, Bowley was arrested on a false report of a motor vehicle accident charge and unlawful possession violation in July 2017 after an incident in Conway. After pleading guilty to the violation, the report charge was placed on hold without a finding, requiring a year of good behavior in September 2017.

However, in June 2018, months before the good behavior year was up, Bowley was arrested on aggravated driving under the influence-0.16-plus, DUI-adult more than 0.08; minor more than 0.02, and DUI charges as well as unlawful possession and transport alcohol by a minor by the New Hampshire State Police. The location of the incident is unknown, but the case was filed in Ossipee District Court. She was living in Glen at the time. Bowley pleaded not guilty to the charges and was released on personal recognizance.

In September 2018, she pleaded to a single DUI count and the others were nolle prossed. Bowley was fined $1,488, with $868 suspended. Her license was revoked for 18 months and she was also required to attend an impaired driver care management program.

However, Bowley failed to pay the fines and warrants were issued for her arrest in February and August 2019. She resolved the default in August 2019 and completed the program in November 2019.

In February 2023, she was arrested in Conway on a DUI-second offense charge after an incident on White Mountain Highway. Bowley was arraigned and pleaded not guilty. In July 2023, she amended her plea to nolo contendere and was found guilty. Bowley was fined $930, and her license was revoked again for a year. She was also required to attend a management program again. Bowley made $200 in payments but was found in default in February.

As of Tuesday, she still owed $805.
