NEW HAMPSHIRE — Authorities conducted a massive search on a property in Barrington, New Hampshire Wednesday that prosecutors are saying is connected to a "decades-old missing person case" in Massachusetts, according to officials and media reports.

The search took place "on a property off Small Road, a private road on Ayers Pond" and involved several police cars, K-9 units and a drone, WMUR reported.

It was conducted by New Hampshire State Police at the request of the Essex County State Police Detective Unit and the Lynn Police "in furtherance of an investigation into a decades-old missing person case out of Essex County," the Essex County District Attorney's Office said.
