NASHUA, NH — Nashua police, firefighters, and AMR ambulance responded to Sandy Pond Wednesday to search for a 9-year-old boy who was unaccounted for.

The boy's father reportedly found the child's clothing at the pond's edge, where people frequently swim. The Nashua Fire Dive Team came to the scene with boats and dive equipment just before 5 p.m.

The area's playground and dock, as well as the street, were closed off with crime scene tape to keep large groups of people away who had heard about the search. Nashua police launched a drone into the area to search while divers were in the water. Police also sent officers to the area of the child’s residence and searched the residence and surrounding area.
