Crashes On NJ Turnpike, Parkway, Route 206: Patch PM Traffic Digest

NEW JERSEY — Happy almost weekend, New Jersey Patch readers! Here are the latest traffic updates that will impact Friday travel.

Traffic Updates

North Jersey

As of 4:00 p.m., there's a crash on the Garden State Parkway northbound North of Exit 135 - Central Ave in Clark Twp. 1 left lane blocked.

As of 3:36 p.m., there's a crash on the Garden State Parkway northbound South of Exit 137 - NJ 28 in Cranford Twp. 2 left lanes blocked.

Central Jersey

As of 4:45 p.m., there's a disabled vehicle on US 1 northbound North of Old Post Rd in Edison Twp. 1 left lane closed, 10-minute delay.

As of 4:25 p.m., there's a crash on US 206 northbound approaching North of CR 604/Elm Rd in Princeton Twp. 1 right lane closed. 5-10 minute delay, use caution.

As of 4:10 p.m., there's a crash on US 206 in both directions North of CR 514/Amwell Rd in Hillsborough Twp. All lanes closed intermittently.

As of 3:46 p.m., there are delays and pockets of volume on the Garden State Parkway southbound from North of I-195 in Wall Twp to North of Exit 82A - NJ 37 West in Toms River Twp. All lanes open, 17-mile delay.

South Jersey

As of 4:55 p.m., there's a crash on NJ 55 southbound North of NJ 47 in Maurice River Twp. 1 right lane closed. 5-10 minute delay, use caution.

As of 4:54 p.m., there's a crash on NJ 49 eastbound West of CR 617/Woodbine Rd in Upper Twp. All lanes shift. 5-10 minute delay, use caution.

As of 4:52 p.m., there's a crash on NJ 47 southbound South of NJ 55 in Maurice River Twp. 1 right lane closed. 5-10 minute delay, use caution.

As of 4:30 p.m., there are delays on the New Jersey Turnpike southbound in the vicinity of Interchange 4 - NJ 73 in Mount Laurel Twp. All lanes 6-mile delay, due to volume.

As of 4:13 p.m., there's a crash on the New Jersey Turnpike southbound Interchange 4 - NJ 73 in Mount Laurel Twp. 1 right lane blocked.

As of 4:10 p.m., there's a crash on NJ 70 westbound New Jersey Turnpike in Cherry Hill Twp. 1 right lane closed. 5-minute delay, use caution.

Transit Updates

Northeast Corridor train #3896, the 4:12 PM Trenton departure is canceled due to equipment availability. Take train #3864, the 4:41 p.m. Trenton departure.

North Jersey Coast Line train #3260, the 3:44 p.m. Long Branch departure is currently delayed due to a mechanical issue at Long Branch. An update will follow.

All other NJ Transit trains are running on or close to schedule.

Weather

The heatwave continues, with temperatures in the 90s. Scattered showers and thunderstorms have impacted northwest New Jersey on Friday afternoon, and there's about a 20 percent chance of them throughout North Jersey until the evening, according to the National Weather Service.
