Debris On NJ Turnpike, Commuting Delays In NJ: Patch AM Traffic Digest

Good morning, New Jersey Patch readers! Here are the latest traffic updates that will impact your travel on Tuesday, June 7, 2022:

Traffic Updates

North Jersey

As of 7:47 a.m., there's a crash and disabled vehicle on NJ 21 southbound north of East 3rd Avenue in Newark. 2 right lanes closed.

As of 7:15 a.m., there's a disabled bus at the Lincoln Tunnel north tunnel westbound New Jersey side in Weehawken Township. 1 left lane blocked.

As of 6:40 a.m., there's a crash on North Avenue eastbound Kapkowski Road in Elizabeth. 1 right lane blocked.

As of 6:23 a.m., there's an earlier incident on NJ 3 eastbound NJ 21 in Clifton. All lanes open.

As of 6:12 a.m., there's debris on the New Jersey Turnpike outer roadway northbound north of interchange 14 - I-78/US 1&9 in Newark. 1 center lane blocked.

As of 6:21 a.m., there are delays on the George Washington Bridge lower and upper levels eastbound New Jersey Side Toll Plaza in Fort Lee. The travel time is 15 minutes on I-95 from I-80 to the Alexander Hamilton Bridge.

Central Jersey

As of 7:27 a.m., there's a crash on NJ 18 northbound between CR 606/Milltown Road and Tices Lane in East Brunswick. One center lane was blocked, but has since reopened. There's a five-minute delay.

As of 6:29 a.m., there's a crash on the New Jersey Turnpike northbound exit ramp to I-287 from Interchange 10 in Edison Township. 1 right lane blocked.

As of 6 a.m., there's construction on NJ 66 eastbound CR 16/Asbury Avenue in Neptune Township. Right shoulder closed until noon.

South Jersey

As of 8:02 a.m., there's an overturned vehicle on I-76 eastbound ramp to Exit 1A-NJ 42/I-295 in Bellmawr. All lanes closed. 15 to 20-minute delay.

As of 4:06 a.m., there's construction on NJ 70 eastbound from CR 673/Springdale Road in Cherry Hill to Cropwell Road in Evesham. All lanes shift until 11:59 p.m. on Feb. 3, 2023.

Transit Updates

Newark Light Rail: The 6:57 a.m. departure from Grove Street and the 7:21 a.m. departure from Newark Penn Station are cancelled due to operator availability.

All NJ Transit train lines are running on or close to schedule.

NJ Weather

Expect increasing cloud coverage, with a high near 77 and wind gusts up to 25 mph, according to the National Weather Service.
