GSP Crash, Commuting Delays In NJ: Patch AM Traffic Digest

Good morning, New Jersey Patch readers! Here are the latest traffic updates that will impact your travel on Monday, June 13, 2022:

Traffic Updates

North Jersey

As of 8:54 a.m., there's a disabled truck on NJ 17 northbound on Industrial Avenue in Hasbrouck Heights. 1 right lane closed.

As of 8:47 a.m., there's a crash on the Garden State Parkway northbound south of Larry Doby Service Area in Bloomfield. 1 right lane blocked.

As of 8:36 a.m., there's a vehicle fire on I-280 westbound east of Exit 6 - Laurel Avenue in West Orange. 1 right lane and shoulder closed; 6B ramp closed.

As of 7:04 a.m., there are delays and an earlier incident on US 1&9/Tonnelle Avenue southbound from south of 69th Street to north of 44th Street in North Bergen Township.

As of 6:38 a.m., there are delays on the George Washington Bridge lower and upper levels eastbound New Jersey side in Fort Lee. All lanes open. The travel time is 20 minutes on I-95 from I-80 to the Alexander Hamilton Bridge.

As of 6:01 a.m., there are delays on NJ 139 Lower eastbound from Tonnelle Avenue to Jersey Avenue in Jersey City.

As of 5:56 a.m., there's a crash with injuries and an overturned vehicle on the Garden State Parkway southbound north of Exit 138 - CR 509 in Kenilworth. 1 right lane blocked.

Central Jersey

As of 6:46 a.m., there are delays on the Garden State Parkway southbound exiting at Exit 130B-A-US 1 in Woodbridge Township due to volume.

As of 4:09 a.m., there's construction in both directions from CR 607/Long Beach Boulevard to Shore Avenue in Ship Bottom. All lanes shift until 11:59 p.m. on Oct. 31, 2022.

As of 4:08 a.m., there's construction on NJ 175 northbound from West Upper Ferry Road to NJ 29 in Ewing. All lanes closed and detoured until further notice.

South Jersey

As of 7:25 a.m., there's a vehicle fire on NJ 42 northbound Exit 8 - CR 534/Clementon Blackwood Road in Gloucester Township. 1 right lane closed, 15-20 minute delay.

As of 7:11 a.m., there are delays on NJ 55 northbound approaching south of NJ 42 in Deptford. All lanes open, delays due to volume.

As of 6:35 a.m., there are minor delays on NJ 73 northbound from CR 544/Evesham Road/Marlton Parkway in Evesham Township to I-295 in Mount Laurel.

As of 4:11 a.m., there’s construction on NJ 70 in both directions between Cropwell Road in Evesham Township and CR 673/Springdale Road in Cherry Hill. All lanes shift until 11:59 p.m. on Feb. 4, 2023.

Transit Updates

NJ Transit Northeast Corridor train #3702, the 5:26 a.m. departure from Jersey Ave, is cancelled today due to equipment availability.

All other NJ Transit train lines are running on or close to schedule.

NJ Weather

Expect a chance of showers and thunderstorms mainly before 10 a.m. and patchy fog before 9 a.m., according to the National Weather Service. Otherwise, partly sunny, with a high near 86.
