GSP Crash, Downed Wires In NJ: Patch AM Traffic Digest

Good morning, New Jersey Patch readers! Here are the latest traffic updates that will impact your travel on Friday, June 10, 2022:

Traffic Updates

North Jersey

As of 8:40 a.m., there's a disabled truck on the New Jersey Turnpike/I-95 express lanes northbound south of Exit 71 (NB) - NJ 4/Broad Avenue in Leonia. 1 left lane blocked.

As of 7 a.m., there's a crash on the George Washington Bridge lower level eastbound approaching New Jersey side Toll Plaza in Fort Lee. 2 right lanes blocked.

As of 6:57 a.m., there's a crash on the Garden State Parkway southbound south of Exit 143 - NJ 124 in Irvington. 1 right lane blocked.

As of 4:49 a.m., there's a disabled truck on NJ 495 westbound east of Pleasant Avenue in Weehawken. 1 right lane blocked.

As of 4:06 a.m., there's a downed pole, downed wires and electrical repairs on US 1&9 truck route eastbound ramp to Broadway in Jersey City. All lanes closed.

As of 5:46 a.m., there are delays on the George Washington Bridge upper levels eastbound New Jersey side in Fort Lee. All lanes open. The travel time is 25 minutes on I-95 from I-80 to the Alexander Hamilton Bridge.

Central Jersey

As of 5:29 a.m., there's an overturned tractor trailer on I-78 westbound east of Exit 15 - NJ 173 East in Clinton. 2 left lanes closed, 5-10 minute delay.

As of 5:06 a.m., there's a crash on the Garden State Parkway express lanes northbound north of Asbury Toll Plaza in Tinton Falls. Left shoulder blocked.

South Jersey

As of 7:45 a.m., there's a crash on I-295 southbound south of Exit 43-CR 838/Creek Road in Mount Laurel Township. 1 left lane and right shoulder closed, 5-10 minute delay.

As of 6 a.m., there's emergency construction and a water main break on US 130 southbound north of Taylors Lane/New Albany Road in Delran. 2 right lanes closed.

Transit Updates

Northeast Corridor train #3702, the 5:26 a.m. departure from Jersey Avenue, is up to 15-minutes late due to Amtrak switch issues.

Northeast Corridor train #3700, the 5:01 a.m. departure from Jersey Avenue, is cancelled due to Amtrak switch issues.

Northeast Corridor train #3809, the 5:54 a.m. arrival into Trenton, is up to 15 minutes late following an earlier request for police assistance for an unruly customer at Secaucus.

Northeast Corridor train #3808, the 5:40 a.m. arrival into Penn Station NY, is up to 20 minutes late due to Amtrak track maintenance near New Brunswick.

Northeast Corridor train #3806, the 5:21 a.m. arrival into Penn Station NY, is up to 30 minutes late due to Amtrak track maintenance near New Brunswick.

All other NJ Transit train lines are running on or close to schedule.

NJ Weather

Expect sunny skies with a high near 80, according to the National Weather Service.
