Road Work, Commuting Delays In NJ: Patch AM Traffic Digest

Good morning, New Jersey Patch readers! Here are the latest traffic updates that will impact your travel on Wednesday, Jun. 1, 2022:

Traffic Updates

North Jersey

As of 7:40 a.m., there's a crash on the George Washington Bridge upper level eastbound New Jersey side in Fort Lee. 1 center lane blocked.

As of 7:18 a.m., there's a crash on I-280 westbound east of Exit 5 - CR 527 in Roseland. 1 left lane closed.

As of 7:05 a.m., there's a disabled vehicle on the Garden State Parkway southbound south of Exit 137 - NJ 28 in Cranford. 1 left lane blocked.

As of 6:59 a.m., there's a crash on the Garden State Parkway southbound south of Exit 140 - US 22/NJ 82 in Union Township. All lanes open.

As of 6:56 a.m., there's a crash on the Garden State Parkway northbound south of Exit 135 - Central Avenue in Clark. All lanes open.

As of 6:04 a.m., there are delays on the George Washington Bridge lower and upper levels eastbound New Jersey side in Fort Lee. All lanes open. The travel time is 20 minutes on I-95 from I-80 to the Alexander Hamilton Bridge.

As of 6:01 a.m., there are delays at the Holland Tunnel south tunnel eastbound New Jersey side - Toll Plaza in Jersey City. All lanes open. The travel time to the New York side is 20 minutes from New Jersey Turnpike Exit 14C and 20 minutes from New Jersey 139 at Tonnelle Circle.

Central Jersey

As of 7:16 a.m., there's a crash on the Garden State Parkway northbound north of Exit 90 - CR 549/Chambers Bridge Road in Brick. All lanes open.

As of 4:02 a.m., there’s construction on NJ 175 northbound from West Upper Ferry Road to NJ 29 in Ewing Township. All lanes closed and detoured until further notice.

South Jersey

As of 7:12 a.m., there's a disabled tractor trailer on NJ 42 northbound north of Atlantic City Expressway in Washington. Right shoulder closed.

As of 4:11 a.m., there’s construction on NJ 70 in both directions between Cropwell Road in Evesham Township and CR 673/Springdale Road in Cherry Hill. All lanes shift until 11:59 p.m. on July 15.

Transit Updates

All NJ Transit train lines are running on or close to schedule.

NJ Weather

Expect sunny skies most of the day with a high near 80. Thunderstorms possible after about 4 p.m.
