5 Things To Do In Monmouth County This Weekend: Oct. 23 & 24

ASBURY PARK, NJ – It's the weekend before Halloween, and everything is starting to get a little spookier, from houses displaying their most spooky decorations to bags and bags of candy flying off the shelves to a growing numbing chill in the air.

For the first time since the pandemic, Emo Night Brooklyn is returning to Asbury Park on Saturday night at the Stone Pony for a night of emo and pop-punk favorites starting at 9 p.m.

Viral Stand-up Sensation Vic DiBitetto To Perform In Red Bank This Weekend
Stand-up comic and viral video star Vic Dibitetto will be performing at the Hackensack Meridian Health Theatre at the Count Basie Center on Saturday at 7 p.m.

Asbury's House Of Independents To Host A Sunday Hardcore Matinee
Boston's Slapshot is coming to Asbury Park's House Of Independents on Sunday as part of their 35 Years Of Hardcore tour with Sheer Terror and Skullcrack. Doors open at 5 p.m and the first band goes on at 5:30 p.m.

Long Branch To Host Dog-Friendly Fall Festival This Saturday
The city of Long Branch is holding its Fall Festival and Pooch Parade this Saturday from 11 a.m-4 p.m. Festival Plaza on Ocean Avenue. There will be arts and crafts vendors, touch-a-truck, a children's trick-or-treat. All dogs attending must be leashed, licensed, and pre-registered.

Asbury Barkery To Hold Class on Suger Skull Cooke Making This Sunday
From 3 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, October 24, Sweet Dani B Cookie Kitchen & Petite Party Studio, located on 717 Bangs Avenue, will be holding a class on making sugar skull cookies, just in time for Dia de Los Muertos. Spots are limited, and you can pre-register online here.
