Children's events

Toddler Storytime Mondays at 2:30pm

Join the little one in your life in the Junior Room of the library for stories and songs every Monday at 2:30pm. This free event is geared toward ages 2-4, although all ages are welcome. Adult supervision is required.

Youth Writing Club Tuesdays 5:30-6:30pm (Ages 8-12) & 6:30-7:30pm (Ages 13-17)

Join us on Tuesdays for Writing Club in the Junior Library! Writer and youth library assistant, Ms. Nina, will conduct a writing workshop for kids of all experience levels where they will write poems, stories, or illustrate the words of their imagination! Ages 8-12 from 5:30-6:30; Ages 13-17 from 6:30-7:30. Space is limited, please call 732-774-4221 to register.

Youth Book Club 2nd Wednesday of every month 5:30-6:30pm March Date: 3/8

Join us in the Junior Library on the second Wednesday of each month from 5:30pm to 6:30pm for a night about books! All ages are welcome to come pick a book according the month's theme and chat with others about their favorite parts. Students will explore common themes and genres. Snacks and refreshments are included. Registration required. Call 732-774-4221.

Mad Science Workshop for Ages 6-10 Wednesday, 3/8 4:30-5:30pm

Join on Wednesday, March 8 from 4:30 to 5:30pm in the Bradley Room for a night of science. Students will explore the forces that hold atoms together, see the differences between physical and chemical changes, and mix up a batch of their very own Mad Science Putty to take home. Ages 6-10 with adult. Registration required, call 732-774-4221.

Youth Scavenger Hunt in the Junior Library Saturday, March 18

Join us in the Junior Library for an exciting book Scavenger Hunt. All ages are welcome to come join Ms. Nina on a hunt for books. Children and families are welcome to come at any time between 10am-3pm on Saturday, 3/18. Prizes and snacks included.

Adult/teen events

(NEW!) Writer's Workshop Every Other Monday from 6-7pm

March Dates: 3/6 and 3/20

Come join us every other Monday from 6pm to 7pm to workshop your latest writing and help others expand their craft. Adults 18+. No registration required.

Pilates Tuesdays 5pm - 6pm

Join Pat in the Bradley Room on Tuesdays from 5pm to 6pm to learn the Pilates basics. Spots are limited - call 732-774-4221 today to register. Adults 18+.

No Pressure Book Club Every Other Tuesday 6:30pm

March Dates: 3/7 and 3/21

Come enjoy a cup of coffee or tea and talk about what you're currently reading every other Tuesday at 6:30pm. Adults 18+.

Teen Video Game Night Wednesdays 5:30pm to 7pm

Join us on Wednesdays from 5:30pm to 7pm year for Nintendo Switch Mario Kart, Mario Party & Mario Golf. Free to cardholders. Patrons under 10 must be accompanied by an adult. Please call 732-774-4221 to register.

Warm Hugs Crochet Club Thursdays at 11:30am-1pm

Bring your own project and supplies or select from one of our easy patterns. Basic patterns and supplies provided for free! Thursdays from 11:30am to 1pm.

Journal Making Class: Wednesday 3/22 5 at 6pm AND Thursday 3/23 3 at 4pm.

Would you like to make your own hand-sewn journal from scratch? Join us for this two-part class to make your very own journal. Wednesday, 3/22 at 6pm and Thursday, 3/23 at 4pm. Best for ages 15+. Space is limited, call 732-774-4221 to register.

Project REAL Movie Night Wednesday, 3/22 from 7pm to 9pm

Join us on Wednesday, 3/22 from 7pm to 9pm for a triumphant story of personal resilience as shown in 2018'S Oscar-winning Latinx film about a transgender woman navigating life following her boyfriend's death.

Make Space Home Organization Monday, 3/15 at 4pm

Join Shannon from Make Space Home Organization on Monday, 3/15 at 4pm for home organizing basics just in time for Spring cleaning! No registration required.
