APTV Wins Two Awards At JAG Video Awards Show

The two awards were for documentaries shown on APTV this past year.

ASBURY PARK, NJ – Asbury Park Television (APTV) was honored on Monday with two documentary awards from the Jersey Access Group’s JAG Video Awards.

“There You Go: Asbury Park Two Days of Protests” by Bruce Booker received first place in the category with the Excellence Award, and “ESTC Gardens of Asbury Park” by Michael Sodano received a third-place Award of Recognition. Both videos can be seen on APTV’s cable channels and streaming apps.

The Jersey Access Group (JAG) is a professional organization that unites municipalities, access channels, non-profit organizations, and content providers with a mission to improve communications to their communities. JAG advises, advocates, and educates in technology, legislation, and regulation impacting multiple media platforms. Their annual JAG Video Awards are dedicated to honoring excellence in local and regional Public Education Government (PEG) cablecast programming.

“City Council and the Asbury Park Television Committee are incredibly proud of the team at APTV for their creativity and dedication, and we congratulate Bruce Booker and Michael Sodano,” said Deputy Mayor Amy Quinn in a statement.

“We’re thankful to JAG for recognizing the incredible work that is being done to highlight Asbury Park.”
