Asbury Park 3rd Grader A Star Student, Her Principal Says

"Alexia is a wonderful third-grade student who is always going out of her way to help her peers and assist her teachers."

(Dr. Lauren Schulze)

ASBURY PARK, NJ — Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize Star Students, and we’re working to tell the stories of these outstanding kids to their neighbors.

This submission comes from Dr. Lauren Schulze, who nominated Alexia Mendoza-Curiel of Asbury Park.

How do you know the star local student?

I am the student's Principal.

Why do you believe the star local student should be recognized?

Alexia is a wonderful third-grade student who is always going out of her way to help her peers and assist her teachers. She is respectful, friendly, and very kind. Not only has Alexia worked extremely diligently throughout the first half of the school year to have stellar academic growth in all areas of learning, but she has dedicated time to learning the piano and was as featured piano soloist in our Winter Concert.

Alexia is a kind, determined young student who has a bright future ahead of her.

Congratulations on your achievements, and all of our best wishes to you in the future, Alexia!
