ASBURY PARK, NJ — The Monmouth County DWI Task Force will hold a DWI checkpoint Friday night, Oct. 20 in Asbury Park.

The checkpoint will be held from 10 p.m. - 2 a.m. on Main Street; all southbound cars on Main Street will be diverted into the municipal plaza parking lot, where local officers and task force members will determine the sobriety of each driver.

"The Monmouth County DWI Task Force will continue to be proactive in deterring and educating drivers of the dangers of driving while impaired, in an attempt to reduce DWI-related injuries and deaths in our county," said Allenhurst Police Chief Michael Schneider, who is the 2023 Monmouth County DWI Task Force Coordinator.
