Iconic Jersey Shore Diner Just Listed For Sale For $499K

ASBURY PARK, NJ — A Jersey Shore diner described as "legendary" and a "landmark" just went up for sale.

The diner is Frank's Deli and Restaurant in Asbury Park.

NJ.com was first to report the news, but here is the business' listing on Coldwell Banker. It was just put on the market Saturday, March 2. The family that owns Frank's is asking $499,000.

"Over the decades, certain places come to symbolize their time or are unique to a city," read the listing. "Such places often seem irreplaceable, the notion of selling them as if they were mere commodities would strike many as unorthodox. Nevertheless, as incredible as it may seem, this revered landmark, FRANK'S DELI, is now for sale! This iconic deli has been in its current location for over 50 years, with hundreds of thousands of visitors stopping through to grab a signature breakfast sandwich! This family owned and operated business is ready to be passed along! Private Parking lot included."

Frank's is located on Main Street in Asbury Park. It first opened in 1960 and has been serving up affordable breakfasts, lunches and sandwiches to the Jersey Shore ever since. Frank's said it was open "364 days a year no matter what."

In this NJ.com article, which first announced it was for sale, owner Joe Maggio, who took over the deli from his father, said: “We have a lot of customers who don’t have a lot of money. What’re you gonna do? Prices have gone up crazy, but we keep ours affordable for our longtime customers.”
