ASBURY PARK, NJ – LINK scooter riders in Asbury Park can now quickly locate scooters throughout town using the Transit app, making it easier for riders to plan trips.

Asbury Park joins 20 other cities worldwide, including Los Angeles, Rome, and Seattle, where LINK scooters are integrated into the Transit app, which gives users localized, real-time public transportation information.

“Transit shows riders all their mobility options in one place, so users can find the best way from A-to-B without a car,” David Block-Schachter, Chief Business Officer at Transit, said in a statement.

The addition of LINK scooters makes it easier for public transportation users to plan trips with real-time bus, train, and ride-sharing information along with scooter locations, according to Jamie Perkins, Director of Communications at Superpedestrian, the parent company of LINK.

“Shared micromobility is becoming an increasingly integral part of urban transportation systems, especially as a first and last mile solution for public transit users,” Perkins said in a statement.
