NEPTUNE, NJ – The nearly 140 athletes from New Jersey who are expected to compete in the 2022 Special Olympics USA Games being held in Orlando this June could use some financial help, according to a press release.

Therefore, the Jersey Mike's location in Neptune at 71 S Main St. is donating the money from all of its sales on Wednesday, March 30, to the Special Olympics of New Jersey.

Jersey Mike's has commemorated March as its Month of Giving for 12 years, but March 30, 2022, marks "the first time ever, the company is donating all proceeds to a single cause when Jersey Mike's restaurants from every state will support Special Olympics athletes throughout the country," a press release stated.

The promotion runs all day on March 30, the company said.

Jersey Mike's started in 1956 in Point Pleasant. The chain touts over 2,000 locations nationwide, including over 100 in New Jersey, according to its website.
