New Indian Takeout Restaurant Coming To Asbury Park Area

OCEAN TOWNSHIP, NJ - Takeout fans, rejoice.

Bombay River, a Red Bank-based Indian restaurant, is opening a second location in Ocean Township, according to a Facebook post from its owner.

Dubbed Bombay River Express, the new storefront will be located at 1013 Route 35 under International Bites. Owner Sourabh "Sam" Jain told Patch that the restaurant is slated to open April 15.

According to its website, the culinary stylings of Bombay River feature a twist on traditional Indian fare, with "familiar elements of the Far East combined with inspired new international flavors."

Menu offerings include samosas, masalas, rice specialties and Bombay River fajitas.

“The owner and chef have a combined tenure of over 30 years in the hospitality and food industry,” its website reads. “Together, they have developed a menu that redefines what is expected of Indian cooking while being mindful of today’s health-conscious eating.”
