Businesses are now being sought to participate in the first-ever live music/shopping event, held Feb. 3 at the Berkeley Oceanfront Hotel:

ASBURY PARK, NJ — Businesses are now being sought to participate in Asbury Park's first-ever "Made (and Sold) In Asbury Park," which will be Feb. 3, 2024 at the Berkeley Oceanfront Hotel.

This event is only open to Asbury Park-based businesses to participate. It was created by the city of Asbury Park’s Urban Enterprise Zone program, and will highlight all that Asbury Park has to offer.

“This is a first-of-its-kind event that will allow us to shine a light on what makes Asbury Park such an amazing place: its people and their creativity,” said Asbury Park Deputy Mayor Amy Quinn. “Our first ‘Made (and sold) In Asbury Park’ will be one to remember. This is going to be the premier Shore event of the winter and people will not want to miss it.”

Businesses looking to participate should reach out to JulieAnn Murray, Asbury Park Urban Enterprise Zone business development administrator: [email protected]

Available spots will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis and the city anticipates space will fill up quickly.

"'Made (and sold) In Asbury Park' will allow the city’s UEZ businesses to tell their story: What they make, what they sell and why they chose Asbury Park as their business home," said Murray. "It will highlight everything that Asbury Park has to offer, spurring heightened awareness of the numerous products that are made in the community."

Businesses located in Urban Enterprise Zones are allowed by the state to charge half the sales tax rate – currently 3.3125 percent; make tax-free purchases on most items for their businesses; and take advantage of the various business assistance programs offered by Asbury Park’s UEZ office.
