Stevie Nicks, Green Day At Asbury Park's Sea.Hear.Now Music Festival This Weekend

Headliners include Stevie Nicks, Green Day, Boy George & Culture Club and My Morning Jacket at the surfing and music fest in Asbury Park:

ASBURY PARK, NJ — The weather looks awesome this weekend for the Sea.Hear.Now music festival, held this Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 17 and 18.

This is the fourth year the Sea.Hear.Now festival will take place on the beach in Asbury Park. This is a music and surf festival, and many professional surfers will be hitting the waves for crowds to watch. There will also be art for sale. There will be three stages set up and a surf viewing area.

Headliners are Stevie Nicks of Fleetwood Mac, who will take the main stage at 9 p.m. Saturday. California punk band Green Day is scheduled to perform starting at 8:30 p.m. Sunday. Other acts on Saturday include Bob Marley's grandson Skip Marley (3-4 p.m.), Boy George & Culture Club (5-6 p.m.) and My Morning Jacket (8-9 p.m.), plus many other bands. Bands on Sunday include Cage the Elephant and The Head and the Heart.

The festival sold $8,750 tickets for something called the "ultimate experience," which included a 3-night stay at the Asbury Ocean Club Resort, backstage access including the Artist Bar, a $200 credit per person for use at festival food and bar vendors all weekend (excludes Grand Arcade Restaurants) and more. The festival says they are sold out of those tickets.

It's a good weekend for live music in New Jersey, as iconic '90s band the Gin Blossoms will also give a free concert in Carteret Park Saturday night as part of the annual Carteret Charity Carnival.

Sea.Hear.Now takes place at North Beach of Asbury Park - Bradley Park - Atlantic Park 1300 Ocean Avenue in Asbury Park. A ride-share and drop-off zone will be set up at 115 4th Avenue.
