Huge Tuckerton Estate To Be Auctioned Off Dec. 15

Opening bid for the house and property off Route 9 is $450,000

TUCKERTON, NJ - A huge estate purchased by the chairman of the Taekwondo Association of Greater New York back in 2010 is on the auction block.

Byung Taek bought the property to remodel it into a summer shore retreat and private fun park for his family, said Richard Maltz, president of Central Islip, NY-based Maltz Auctions.

The property, located at 5857 Route 9, comes with a million-gallon pool, a three-story watchtower and a footbridge.

The 54.07 acre estate and family compound has a 10,000 square-foot main residence and a caretaker house with two apartments. Opening bid for the house and property is $450,000

The main house has six bedroom and five bathrooms, a 2,600-square foot master suite and a grand staircase.

There's also a lighted tennis court, two private ponds stocked with bass and perch, two enclosed paddocks and a riding path, a green house and a 100-foot dog run.

The property has a 1,000-foot border wall along Route 9. All of the fixtures to buildings, lights, window treatments and built-in appliances are included in the sale. All statues and ornaments are excluded from the sale.

The property was previously listed at $3,250,000.
