NUTLEY, NJ — A dispute over coronavirus guidelines took place at a coffee shop in Nutley last week, authorities said.

The Nutley Police Department released the following details about the incident, which took place on April 15 on Franklin Avenue:

“The coffee shop manager contacted police regarding a customer not following the COVID guidelines. She was not standing on the designated social distancing circles inside of the establishment and began arguing with employees. The manager indicated that they did not want that customer returning to the establishment. Officers were able to conduct a motor vehicle stop with the patron as they were leaving, and advised them they were not allowed back at the establishment and if they did return, they would be subject to arrest for defiant trespassing.”
