National Night Out, Egg Hunt Rescheduled In Berkeley

Both National Night Out and the Easter Egg Hunt in Berkeley were impacted by bad weather. But both events are rescheduled for Aug. 14:

BERKELEY, NJ — Did you miss the Easter Egg Hunt in Berkeley back in April, that was canceled due to bad weather? And did you miss National Night Out last week, also canceled due to bad weather? Both events are rescheduled for Aug. 14 at Veterans Park.

The Sounds of Summer concert series will also go on Wednesday night, with opening act Dominique & Julian performing from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. and headliner Event Horizon performing from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.

National Night Out activities include:

  • Touch a Truck with a police cruiser, police boat, ATV and ambulance
  • Displays by the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office & Sheriff’s Department including child identification cards and the Sheriff’s Department horse
  • Fire Department
  • Inflatable obstacle course
  • A visit from the State Police helicopter

Also at Wednesday's event is the rescheduled egg hunt from April. Stop at the Recreation stand for egg decorating and candy-filled eggs. A limited number of metallic eggs will be hidden on the opposite side of the stage. You can bring the egg to the concession stand for a sweet treat (limit one egg per family).

Non-profit groups will also be there with food and refreshments for sale.
