2nd Student Sexually Assaulted By Brick Woman: Prosecutor

FREEHOLD, NJ — A former Wall Township High School teacher charged with sexual assault in connection with a sexual relationship with a student is now accused of having a sexual relationship with a second student, the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office announced Wednesday.

Julie A. Rizzitello, 36, of Brick Township, has been charged with one count of second-degree sexual assault and one count of third-degree witness tampering in connection with the second relationship, Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago said.

Rizzitello, who was arrested July 3 on charges of sexually assaulting a studentin April and May 2024, is accused of having a sexual relationship with a student in 2017, Santiago said.

Investigators say Rizzitello engaged in various sexual acts with the second victim on multiple occasions in Brick, he said.

Charges have been filed in both Brick and Wall townships, Santiago said.

Rizzitello, who resigned her teaching position earlier this year, is accused of telling the first student to delete text messageconversations between them and nude photos she sent, according to the probable cause affidavit on those charges. She remains in the Monmouth County jail awaiting a detention hearing that is scheduled for July 23 before Superior Court Judge Marc C. Lemieux, the prosecutor's office said.
