COLLEGE SOCCER: Brick's Pallante Named ECAC Defensive Player Of The Year

The former Brick High School goalkeeper was a four-time weekly award honoree for both the ECAC and the New Jersey Athletic Conference.

BRICK, NJ -- A 2015 Brick Township graduate has earned postseason honors in her first collegiate soccer season.

Nicole Pallante, a goalkeeper who played at Brick Township High School, has been named the Eastern College Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Year for her peformance in the net for Stockton University this fall. She also was an All-ECAC first team selection.

Pallante also was named New Jersey Athletic Conference Goalkeeper of the Year and NJAC Co-Rookie Player of the Year while receiving All-Conference First Team honors. She started all 23 games for the Ospreys and finished sixth in the nation in goalkeeper minutes played (2077:39). Pallante led the NJAC in shutouts with 11.3, and was fourth in goals-against average with 0.56 and an .841 save percentage.
