Former Brick QB Todd Durkin Competing On New Fitness Show

Durkin, who played for the Dragons in the late 1980s, is a trainer in San Diego. The show premieres Wednesday night.

A Brick Township native will be a contestant on a new reality show coming to NBC in April, the show announced this week.

Todd Durkin, who was a star quarterback for the Brick Township High School Dragons football team in the late 1980s, will be one of 10 trainers competing on the show "STRONG," a fitness competition matching 10 trainers with 10 contestants who are "embarking on a transformative journey in order to reach their full potential. As they will learn, it's not necessarily about losing weight, but rather about finding the balance between mind and body," according to NBC.

The show is hosted by professional volleyball player and fitness expert Gabrielle Reece and its executive producers include Sylvester Stallone, according to NBC.
