Broadway star Sharon Wheatley will present her sometimes humorous COVID pandemic memoir in person at the West Caldwell library.

WEST CALDWELL, NJ — A new memoir, "Drive: Stories from Somewhere in the Middle of Nowhere," follows the pandemic journey of Broadway actress Sharon Wheatley and her family, from Broadway's sudden closure to when the curtains finally go back up.

"Sharon is a pure entertainer," said Alexis Prussack-Martin of the West Caldwell library, "funny, endearing and talented."

Wheatley will run an author talk, reading and book signing at the West Caldwell library on Monday, June 27.

Wheatley sheperds her family and pets through the pandemic, "while making ... memories along the way. 'Drive' is part travelogue, part Little Miss Sunshine, and all Broadway," according to a description.

Currently, Wheatley has been performing the role of Diane, a role she originated, eight times a week in Come From Away on Broadway.

Wheatley has been featured in Forbes Magazine, NY Post and Playbill. Her parenting column and wedding were featured in The New York Times. She’s made appearances on ABC Live and Good Day New York as well as having her work seen on The Tonight Show, at the Bronx Zoo and numerous Broadway shows. To learn more, visit Sharonwheatley.com
