Caldwell Is Hiring School Crossing Guards At $17 Per Hour
Caldwell PD: Candidates need to be available for a minimum of one hour in the morning, one hour in the afternoon and two hours mid-day.
CALDWELL, NJ — Caldwell is hiring school crossing guards, and is offering $17 an hour to the right candidates.
According to an advisory from the Caldwell Police Department:
“A school crossing guard is a part-time employee of the Borough of Caldwell. As a crossing guard, you are a vital link to the safety of school children on a daily basis. Crossing guards need to be available for a minimum one hour in the morning, one hour in the afternoon and two hours mid-day with the current school schedule.”

- High school graduate
- United States citizen
- At least 18 years of age
- Valid driver's license
Successful candidates must pass an oral interview, background investigation and a medical physical. The Caldwell Police Department provides uniforms, equipment and training. The position earns $17 per hour.
