Caldwell Police Will Hold ‘Saturation Patrols’ On Wednesday

The Caldwell PD will be conducting saturation patrols and "spot safety checkpoints" as part of Put the Brakes on Fatalities Day.

CALDWELL, NJ — As part of “Put the Brakes on Fatalities Day,” the Caldwell Police Department will be conducting saturation patrols on Wednesday, Oct. 10.

During the Oct. 10 patrols, the Caldwell Police Department will be warning motorists to wear their seat belt, stay off their phone while driving and to “adhere to the statutory speed limit of our roadways.”

Officers will also conduct “spot safety checkpoints” to educate the public in regards to driving safely on our public roadways, the CPD stated.

Put the Brakes on Fatalities Day, a national initiative, was designed to unite the country in moving toward zero fatalities for one full day by encouraging motorists to obey all traffic laws, including buckling up every ride, driving the posted speed limit, avoiding distractions while driving and always being safe and sober behind the wheel.
